In the language of the Brazilian First Nation Potiguara, Mekaron means "The Soul in the Image". Tiure's life completely changed when one morning the white men’s machinesdestroyed his world. Untill that morning, he was a hunter and a warrior. Following this dramatic moment, he traded bows and arrows for a camera. Later on, hunted himself, his films burned, he found refuge in Canada bringing a few pieces of negative scavenged from a dump site. With reason, still angry and sad, he shows us in a fast and furious way, from Brazil to Canada, the devastating effects of colonialism and genocide and what he felt that morning.
